Custom of the month: Mizu x Native Shoes

This month’s Custom of the Month bottle comes from none other than the innovative, lighthearted and lightweight Native Shoes. The Canadian born brand describes itself as “The result of design existing in a celestial space between the past and the future.” We describe them as a footwear company pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved when function, fashion and fancy all merge into one, as well as an awesome brand to collaborate with! 

Wie haben Sie zum ersten Mal vom Mizu Custom Programm gehört?

We were looking to align with a brand that is as much inspired by the purity of design as we are.  The opportunity to partner came as a result of our recent Fall Winter 16 product launch.  We hosted our global team and partners in Vancouver, BC and wanted to gift an item that everyone could use on our ‘Supernatural’ tour of British Columbia.  We’ve since been gifting the bottles to retail and media partners.

Mizu is a very collaborative brand, and we appreciated their openness to letting us design our own ‘Nativised’ product with such a clean aesthetic.

Welches ist Ihr Lieblingsprodukt aus dem Mizu-Sortiment und wie haben Sie Ihr individuelles Produkt ausgewählt?

We selected the classic stainless steel water bottle (M8) from Mizu’s collection and customized it with our Native blue, though we think the collapsible shot glass is a pretty great idea too!

Unterstützt Ihre Marke eine gemeinnützige Initiative?

We are excited to begin working with World Housing, an organization providing homes and security for families living in slums throughout the world. As a global brand, we want to make sure that our contribution spans beyond just footwear.  We are also looking forward to working with Baby 2 Baby - an initiative in LA that provides necessary items for children in need.

Native Shoes was born from the idea that we are all native to someplace. Living by our vision to ‘Keep it Lite,’ we’re creating forward-thinking shoes while building a better Nativerse for all humans and beasts alike.
